Hopkin10k- POSTPONED

Dear Runners,

I regret to inform you that the Hopkinton Police have strongly recommended the Hopkin10K race on this Saturday be postponed due to unsafe road conditions.  We apologize for this, but we feel we need support this recommendation in light of the recent storms.  Our plan is to reschedule for early spring 2020, and we will send you the new race date within the next week.  We hope you understand, and please let us know if you have any questions.

The Hopkin10K  is the perfect post-Thanksgiving, pre-holiday season event. While many runners are familiar with Hopkinton race courses near the center of town, this is a first to traverse the spectacular Lake Whitehall to the west. You’ll enjoy great views of the lake, rolling hills and picturesque neighborhoods.

Community Support

The Hopkin10K is dedicated to the memory of former Hopkinton Running Club member Andy Welzel, a spirited coach, role model and advocate for children through his personal and professional endeavors. The Hopkinton Running Club will honor Andy’s memory through the creation of a scholarship fund dispersed to students who were impacted by a role model like Andy. Details on the scholarship are forthcoming. The video below features Andy’s daughter Kate sharing her dad’s story.
